Write-ins through The Writers Grotto, my wonderful writing community in San Francisco. These stand-alone sessions are an opportunity for adult participants of all levels to trust and embrace an intimate space where they can learn why and how to write, right now. In this online-only offering, participants will learn and explore tools, tips and hacks that will demystify the writing process. These tools will help:

• foster stillness and focus

• uncensor flow of thought

• cultivate fluency and clarity

• set accountability 

• stay consistent

For early- and mid-career journalists and writers of varied stripes. The photo above was taken recently at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism after I spoke to a group of narrative journalism students about the feelings and fallings of being a journalist and writer. In my speaking and lecturing, I always aim to highlight the hopes & highs, the indispensability of humans & their stories, the humans willing to publish these stories, the smooth pains, and the real gains of a consistent and organized writing practice.
